Troubleshooting

Air Conditioner Not Turning On

Check the thermostat settings to ensure they are set to cool mode and the desired temperature. Replace the batteries in the thermostat if necessary.

Verify that the circuit breaker or fuse controlling the air conditioner is not tripped or blown. Reset the breaker or replace the fuse if needed.

Inspect the air conditioner's power switch or disconnect switch to ensure it's in the "on" position.

If the air conditioner still doesn't turn on, it may indicate issues with the thermostat, wiring, or internal components. Contact us to schedule a professional assessment and repair.

Air Conditioner Making Strange Noises

Listen for unusual sounds coming from the air conditioning system, such as grinding, banging, hissing, or rattling noises.

Turn off the system and inspect the outdoor condenser unit and indoor air handler for visible signs of damage or loose components. Check the fan blades for any obstructions or debris that may be causing the noise. Remove any debris and ensure the fan blades are securely attached.

If the noise persists, it may indicate issues with the compressor, fan motor, or other internal components, which may require our professional technicians to diagnosis and repair.

Uneven or Insufficient Cooling

Adjust the thermostat settings or consider installing a zoning system to direct airflow more evenly throughout the building.

Verify that all supply and return vents are open and unobstructed to allow proper airflow throughout the space.

Inspect the air filter and clean or replace it if it's dirty or clogged. Restricted airflow due to a dirty filter can hinder cooling efficiency.

Examine the outdoor condenser unit to ensure it's free from debris, such as leaves, dirt, or debris. Clean the condenser coils if they are dirty, as this can affect the system's ability to dissipate heat.

If the problem persists, it could indicate issues with ductwork, refrigerant levels, or compressor problems, which may require professional diagnosis and repair from our technicians.
