Troubleshooting

Dealing with a Clogged Drain

Start by attempting to clear the clog using a plunger. Ensure there is enough water in the sink, bathtub, or toilet to cover the plunger's suction cup, then create a tight seal and push and pull the plunger vigorously to dislodge the obstruction.

Avoid using chemical drain cleaners, as they can damage pipes and fixtures over time. If the clog persists despite your efforts, you can contact our plumbing professionals for assistance.

Fixing Low Water Pressure

Check all faucets and fixtures in the affected area to determine if the low water pressure is isolated to a single fixture or if it affects multiple fixtures throughout the house.

If the low water pressure is isolated to a single fixture, remove and clean the aerator or faucet head. Sediment and debris can accumulate over time and restrict water flow. Soaking the aerator in vinegar can help dissolve mineral deposits.

If low water pressure is observed in multiple fixtures, contact our plumbing professionals to help investigate and resolve the issue.

Fixing a Running Toilet

Lift the toilet tank lid and inspect the components inside. Often, a running toilet is caused by a faulty flapper or fill valve. Sometimes, simply adjusting these parts can resolve the issue. Also check the water level in the tank to ensure it is at the correct level. The water level should be approximately one inch below the top of the overflow tube. Adjust the float arm or valve as needed to achieve the correct water level.

If this doesn't solve the problem, replacing these components may be necessary. Contact our plumbing professionals to help!
